Historic cottage Located on Madeline Island in the northwestern corner of Lake Superior needs careful restoration to reflect the beauty and craftsmanship of an earlier age.

Steve Leafblad and sons of Bayfield, Wisconsin worked with Porch Points Weather Queen Sales Rep and Installler Pete Schobert, to begin the careful work of restoration. New posts where installed. Strait grain Fir flooring was installed to replace the rotting floor boards. The paint used was Benjamin Moore porch and floor enamel. The painting of the steps used the same paint, but with an anti-skid additive for safety.

All closed up and protected. With the bottom wood framing, the shades where made a little short to give the porch complete protection while allowing room for motorization at a later date. Two years later we went back and motorized the shades.
